Exeter is a hive of sporting activity, all over the city. Here's a taster of some of the sports that are popular in the area, and some of the bigger clubs that do them.

Football

St. James' Park Exeter is home to, funnily enough, Exeter City Football Club, known as the Grecians, a set of players so calamitous that it would be a minor miracle if they were to win a trophy! Still, it's the taking part that counts, and they do provide 9000 people with a great mix of joy and pain every other Saturdy at their St. James' Park ground, pictured.

Keep up to date with the progress (hopefully upwards) of the team by visiting one of the following websites:

BMXing

The Exeter Eagles BMX Racing Club is the oldest BMX racing club in the UK, and was founded back in 1979, when BMXs were a luxury form of transport.

Volleyball

Beach volleyball at ExmouthFormed in 1988, the Exeter & District Volleyball Association encourages the development of all forms of volleyball in the region. With the proximity to the beach at Exmouth, the club is located perfectly for a bit of beach volleyball action as well.
