Many of your waking hours will be (supposedly) spent on campus... a place which is not just about lectures, as you're about to find out!
Leisure
Cornwall House has lots of opportunities to waste a little time - a room full of video games and a room full of pool tables for starters! The Box Office in Devonshire House is the place to go to get tickets for all sorts of events on campus, and finally Northcott Theatre is renowned all around the area for the excellent performances put on there.
 Drinks
The most popular place for drinks during the day is the Ram. Decorated with rustic beams and low lighting, it's got a nice pub atmosphere, and the prices are pretty good as well, as you'd expect from the main student bar. The Ram is also pretty packed during most evenings, however, at the weekends the place to be is the Lemmy (see the clubs section). The Lemmy is also open during the days but is not usually as popular as the Ram.
Food
Devonshire House is really the place to go for any sort of nosh - a pasta parlour, a pizzeria, a Mexican restaurant and several other outlets ensure that there is always something to suit everyone's tastes. As you'd expect, the prices all offer great value, and you can also use your lunch vouchers from Hall accommodation to pay (or help pay) for your meal. In addition, almost all the buildings on campus offer some sort of food service, including the Peter Chalk Centre, Cornwall House and the Arab & Islamic Studies Centre. The Ram also serves good-value food from lunchtime onwards, and includes weekends.
Banking
NatWest runs an on-campus banking outlet, specially staffed with extra Student Financial Advisors to help you out. There are also two ATMs outside so you can have access to your money at any time.
Computer Clusters
There are plenty of computers situated in various sites around the University campus. Some clusters are also open for 24-hour access with your ID card, which makes them a very versatile service. They are all connected to the Internet, and usually have printing facilities available as well. St. Luke's campus also hosts one such cluster.

Shopping
Both campuses have a supermarket which provides all the essential items a student could ever want. They also sell alcohol and tobacco too, as well as fresh sandwiches, baguettes and rolls. There is also a shop mainly filled with stationery, cards, official university clobber and the like. There is also a Blackwells book shop, which being part of the university, not only means that it is close, but is also specifically kitted out with all the right books you will need for your course, as well as second hand copies.
Guild Travel
Situated on the ground floor of Devonshire House, the Guild Travel shop offers tickets for air, land and sea travel at reasonable student prices. Open Monday to Friday 09.00 to 18.00, with a wide range of payment methods accepted.
The Resource Centre
To the right of the steps leading to Devonshire House, the Resource Centre offers excellent rates on printing, binding and other consumable services.
